I have struggled a lot with making the perfect acai bowl from home. It usually comes out too soupy and the toppings start to fall in rather than stay on the top. But, I have finally figured out the secrets to the perfect acai bowl: lots of ice and do not over mix.

Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 acai packet (let thaw before adding to the blender, I use the Sambazon brand)

  • 1 banana (save some for toppings)

  • 1/2 cup of frozen berries

  • 1/2 cup of almond milk

  • 5.3 oz yogurt (I used the small container of siggis but if you have yogurt in a big container I recommend one big scoop)

  • lots of ice

Smoothie Ingredients

  • Granola
  • Goji berries
  • Hemp seeds
  • Chia Seeds
  • Ground flax (very important that your flax seeds are ground or flax meal or else you won’t retain the nutrients)
  • PB or almond butter


Mix all of the ingredients on high for 1-2 minutes. Make sure everything is well blended but do not overmix. Add in the toppings. You can get really creative with this part and put whatever toppings you prefer. Depending on how much time I have I will add chia, hemp, and flax seeds and cut up some more fresh fruit on top.
