I just recently started enjoying chia seed pudding as an afternoon snack and wanted to create a matcha version that is perfect for an energy boost after a long day. This recipe is super simple but filled with omega-3s and vitamins. 


  • 1 tsp of matcha powder
  • 1 cup of almond milk 
  • 2 tbsp of chia seeds
  • 1/2-1 tbsp of honey 


  1. Whisk matcha powder and 1tbsp of almond milk in a small bowl.
  2. Once fully blended (and when there are no more matcha clumps) add in the remaining milk and whisk till blended. 
  3. Add in chia seeds and honey, stirring until the chia seeds are fully blended. 
  4. Leave in the refrigerator for 2+ hours until the texture is thick.

The chia pudding is perfect as a topping on yogurt and smoothie bowls, but it is just as tasty on its own! I had mine with banana, berries, goji berries, cacao nibs, and coconut.
